Financial Donations

  • The costs associated with these trips are significant, and include such overhead as medical supplies and team members' airfare. Private and corporate generosity can do much to reduce the impact of these expenses on team members while fueling the trips' successes. By giving, you can become an integral part of this educational and humanitarian effort and contribute to Emory's ongoing mission to help define the future of healthcare in this country and abroad.
  • There are several ways to donate:
    • The fastest and most cost-effective option is to use the Emory Online Giving page. Simply write "EGPA " in the special designations box that appears after you input a gift amount. The gift processing team will have this information when the card is processed, and gifts will be routed to the correct location, often in less time than it takes to process a check.
    • Gifts can be mailed to the Office of Gift Records, 1762 Clifton Road NE, Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA 30322. Please make checks payable to Emory University and note the Emory Haiti Alliance with your gift.
    • Donations can also be made using check, money order, electronic funds transfer, or by giving appreciated stock or other real property. You can also invest in the program with a bequest or life income gift, which can provide for you and your family, create tax benefits, and leave an important legacy for this nexus of Emory's educational and international efforts.

Supplies & Medications

For any supplies or medication donations, please see our contact page for trip leadership information.
Supplies:
  • If you are a hospital or healthcare worker and have unexpired and unopened supplies, please consider donating them to us today!  Urgently needed items include latex and non-latex sterile surgical gloves (sizes 5.5-9), surgical prep of all sizes, protective equipment including masks, hats, and shoe booties, sterile gowns and surgical drapes, and anesthesia and respiratory supplies including endotracheal tubes, LMAs, syringes and needles, and oxygen tubing.  Wound care supplies, suture, and surgical instruments are especially welcomed.
  • If you are not in the healthcare field but wish to contribute, you can help by donating small toys (non-choking hazards please) for our pediatric patients or ziploc care packages including hygiene items such as mouthwash, soap, and gauze.  Basic medical supplies including nitrile exam gloves, hydrogen peroxide, gauze, and hand sanitizer are also needed and easily purchased over the counter.  Financial contributions are always welcome.
Medications:
  • Needed medications include anesthetics and antibiotics.  All medication donations must be unexpired and unopened.
